The Mercedes-Benz E-Class, produced by the renowned German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, has been a beloved and popular mid-size vehicle for many years. Each generation of the E-Class has introduced innovative technology and sophisticated design, offering high-quality performance and elegance to drivers and passengers alike. Let's delve into the history and distinctive features of each generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

1st Generation (W114/W115; 1968-1976)

The first generation, designated as W114 and W115, was produced from 1968 to 1976. The W114 was available as a luxurious coupe and sedan model, featuring 6-cylinder engines, while the W115 was a more economical model with 4-cylinder engines. This generation gained popularity for its robust handling and stable driving performance.

4th Generation (W210; 1995-2002)

The W210 generation, manufactured from 1995 to 2002, further advanced the technologies of its predecessors. With innovative design and convenient features, the W210 gained popularity among drivers. This generation offered excellent driving stability, advanced safety systems, and an elegant interior design that emphasized luxury.

5th Generation (W211; 2002-2009)

The W211, produced from 2002 to 2009, combined the strengths of its predecessors with even more innovative technology and design elements. Notably, the W211 introduced advanced safety systems and driving assistance features to enhance both driver and passenger safety. The model also maintained exceptional performance and driving stability.

The W212 also introduced the latest safety systems and driver assistance features, ensuring enhanced safety for all occupants. Additionally, the model featured a refined design and luxurious interior, elevating the overall driving experience.

7th Generation (W213; 2016-present)

The current generation, known as the W213, has been in production since 2016. This latest iteration integrates Mercedes-Benz's cutting-edge technology and design, offering top-notch performance and comfort. The W213 boasts exceptional driving dynamics, state-of-the-art driver assistance systems, and a luxurious interior, providing an unparalleled driving experience for discerning drivers.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class, across its various generations, has consistently delivered innovation, elegant design, and luxury. With a range of models and the latest technology, it continues to set the benchmark for premium vehicles, impressing drivers and enthusiasts around the world.

8th generation (2023~   ):

The latest E-class, finally changed full model in 2023, has appeared. The most eye-catching thing is a dashboard filled with displays up to the passenger's seat. Also on the back is a braided lantern depicting a triangular star, a symbol of Mercedes. The powertrain is not expected to be much different from the previous generation, but it will be more specific when the exact release date and specifications are announced in Korea. BMW's 5 series, the best competitor, has also been transformed into a new model, so I'm very curious about the market's response.
